About

Pirate Josh in HondurasOverviewing my life presents a computer savvy, careered, husband and father born in mid 1983.

Upbringing was normal with two standard parental units in a the small Maine town of Limington.  The lack of social opportunity lead me to computers.  Programming since age six, I’ve obtained a wide variety knowledge from software to hardware.  During high school, I met my wife in 2000.  After a long engagement, we exchanged rings in September of ‘04.  Then, my wife and I brought our daughter into our lives in July of 2009.

My time is spent solving puzzles programmatically, hosting sites, developing Garry’s Mod game modes, being a husband, being a father but mostly working for WellPoint.

Two Carnival cruises constitutes my world travel to the Caribbean and Mexico, as seen in the picture above.  Other that that, I really don’t get out of the house much.  Really, I hate mowing, raking and shoveling, so I stay indoors.

My working life started at Shaw’s Supermarket in North Windham as a floor maintenance.  Boring but at least I was in-shape.  Following was work at Future Builders, Inc. as a one-day-a-week robotics instructor.  Overlapping some was a Kelly Services temp where I had a couple projects for Anthem (now WellPoint) where I eventually got hired on as a claims processor.  I’ve climbed to a Developer II for National Business with hard work from myself and others.  My goal was to become IT but I’m comfortable with the Developer title for a few years.  So now I’m a decent paid, latte drinking, code crunching, cubicle grunt.  Life is good.

My lovely, loving wife has been a enormous part of my life since we met.  From helping me find my first job and breaking my small town bindings, to always being there when I need her now.  She enjoys crafty things like card making and scrapbooking.  Her journal displays a lot of detail on our daughter.  Check out her invitation business.
